Basketball Recap: Magee's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

If Magee was riding high fresh off their 48-25 takedown of Stringer on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 63-54 to the Taylorsville Tartars on Saturday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Taylorsville found their leader in sophomore Jacorbin Sullivan, who posted 25 points. Chase Mccoy was another key player, putting up ten points.

Magee's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Taylorsville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Magee will be home for the holidays to greet Mount Olive at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Taylorsville, they are taking a road trip to square off against West Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
