Softball Game Preview: Foothill Tech Dragons vs. Calabasas Coyotes

The Foothill Tech Dragons will face off against the Calabasas Coyotes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Foothill Tech has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Foothill Tech couldn't beat St. Bonaventure on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Dragons came up short against the Seraphs, falling 15-5. The Dragons have struggled against the Seraphs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Calabasas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They lost 26-4 to Oaks Christian.

Lilly Kingston was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Milla Romano, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Calabasas' loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Foothill Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Foothill Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Calabasas in their previous matchup last Tuesday, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
