Football Recap: Rice Gets the Win

Rice took a 28-point loss the last time they faced off against Eustace, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Rice sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 victory over Eustace on Friday. For Rice, this counts as revenge for the 42-14 win Eustace walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Rice's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Eustace, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Rice will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kemp at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Eustace, they will face off against Quitman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
