Volleyball Game Preview: Bay Tornadoes vs. South Walton Seahawks

Bay hasn't had much luck against South Walton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tornadoes will square off against the Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Pensacola 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tornadoes have posted since September 6th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Bay who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, South Walton got the win against Fort Walton Beach on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-9.

South Walton's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Bay couldn't quite get it done against South Walton in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Tornadoes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
