River Valley is a perfect 5-0 against Tonopah Valley since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Dust Devils will look to defend their home field against the Phoenix at 3:45 p.m. River Valley knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Tonopah Valley likes a good challenge.

River Valley's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Highland Prep 18-0. The Dust Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.

Kennadee Brown was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Bella Navarro was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Brown wasn't the only one making solid contact: River Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Tonopah Valley came up short against Kingman on Wednesday, falling 21-4. The Phoenix have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

River Valley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything went River Valley's way against Tonopah Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as River Valley made off with a 17-2 win. Do the Dust Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phoenix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
