Baseball Recap: Byron-Bergen Takes a Loss

After flying high against School of the Arts on Wednesday, Byron-Bergen came back down to earth. The Bees fell 7-2 to the Kendall Eagles on Thursday. Bees fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Thursday.

Byron-Bergen got a good showing from Evan Collins, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Martin McConnell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Byron-Bergen has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Kendall, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Byron-Bergen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-7 win against Alexander on the 19th. As for Kendall, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-4 victory against School of the Arts on the 19th.
