Basketball Recap: Savoy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Savoy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fannindel Falcons by a score of 46-36. That's more bragging rights for the Cardinals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, Fannindel saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kor'Ziareona Aubrey posted 24 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Aubrey's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Korshonti Aubrey, who had five points in addition to 11 rebounds and four steals.

Savoy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-8. As for Fannindel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-15.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ector the next time they take the court. Savoy will host Ector at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Fannindel will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
