Basketball Recap: Southampton Academy Raiders vs. Grace Christian School Kings
Southampton Academy couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 41-31 to the Grace Christian School Kings on Tuesday.
Grace Christian School had a senior duo take command as Claire Tuck went 5 for 7 en route to 14 points and Kalei Taylor went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points plus five rebounds. Jorianna Burch was another key player, posting six points.
The victory got Grace Christian School back to even at 1-1.
Southampton Academy and Ridgecroft will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southampton Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Grace Christian School, they will challenge Miller School of Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
