Baseball Game Preview: Bryant Owls vs. Long Island City Bulldogs

The Bryant Owls are taking a road trip to take on the Long Island City Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Bryant lost 9-1 to Bowne on Friday. The game marked the Owls' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bryant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Cepin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Cepin has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Sheikh Islam also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Long Island City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 5-0 to Flushing.

Long Island City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bryant, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
