Basketball Recap: Enloe Takes a Loss

Enloe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a blow against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders, falling 64-23. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cardinal Gibbons to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlotte Fusco, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. What's more, Fusco also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Miller Kuss, who earned eight points and five steals.

Enloe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Cardinal Gibbons, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Enloe will head out on the road to face off against Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Enloe is facing Sanderson at the right time seeing as Sanderson is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broughton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cardinal Gibbons' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
