Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Comes Up Short

Tabernacle Christian lost against Faith Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tabernacle Christian Rams took a blow against the Faith Christian Eagles, falling 92-57.

Despite the loss, Tabernacle Christian had strong showings from Cortlyn Tanner, who posted 30 points, and Blain Wallace, who put up 18 points. The contest was Tanner's sixth in a row with at least 16 points.

Faith Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Collin Frye, who went 9 of 11 en route to 21 points and five boards. Those 21 points gave Frye a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Arnett, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points and three steals.

Tabernacle Christian now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Faith Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-9.

Tabernacle Christian has already played their next matchup, a 50-46 defeat against Rockwell Christian School on the 4th. As for Faith Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-37 loss against Alamance Christian on the 31st.
