Elk Mound waltzed into their match on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They never let the Glenwood City Hilltoppers get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. Considering the Mounders have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Elk Mound pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Glenwood City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Elk Mound will challenge Colfax at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Mounders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Glenwood City, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Spring Valley at 5:00 p.m.
