Baseball Recap: Durham Academy Takes a Loss

Durham Academy lost against Voyager Academy back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cavaliers lost 10-1 to the Vikings. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amare Burrus was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Durham Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Voyager Academy, the win keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, Durham Academy will venture away from home to challenge Raleigh HomeSchool at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Voyager Academy, they will be playing at home against Reidsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
