Baseball Game Preview: Tampa Bay Tech Titans vs. Armwood Hawks

Tampa Bay Tech hasn't had much luck against Armwood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Titans will challenge the Hawks at 7:00 p.m.

Tampa Bay Tech is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Newsome, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Meanwhile, Armwood made easy work of Blake on Thursday and carried off a 13-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won eight in a row.

Rhyan Yetman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Elijah Battiste was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Javier Suniaga was another key player, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.

Armwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Tampa Bay Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Armwood, their record now sits at 7-15.

Tampa Bay Tech suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Armwood when the teams last played back in March. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
