Preview: Faith Christian Eagles vs. South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars
The Faith Christian Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Faith Christian comes in on seven and South Guilford HomeSchool on three.
Last Friday, Faith Christian didn't have too much trouble with Asheboro Hybrid Academy at home as they won 46-28. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Faith Christian has scored all season.
Meanwhile, South Guilford HomeSchool scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 69-26 win over Greater Cabarrus S at home. The result was nothing new for South Guilford HomeSchool, who have now won eight contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Kourtney Bullins and Kassidy Bullins were among the main playmakers for South Guilford HomeSchool as the former scored 17 points along with three blocks and the latter dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. The match was Bullins' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kailey Bullins, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Faith Christian pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Faith Christian came up short against South Guilford HomeSchool when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 34-30. Can Faith Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
