The North Marion Colts will head out on the road to square off against the Santa Fe Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Marion knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Santa Fe likes a good challenge.
North Marion's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Monday, when they got past Keystone Heights' usually-dominant pitching crew. The Colts put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 12-3 victory. Considering the Colts have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

C.J. Sayler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Rowan Quartararo was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
North Marion always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-2 to Suwannee.
Santa Fe also got a good showing from Brody Rou, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. That's the fewest hits Rou has allowed since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Santa Fe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Beck, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
North Marion has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
