Basketball Game Preview: Hugo Buffaloes vs. Liberty-Eylau Leopards

The Hugo Buffaloes will venture away from home to challenge the Liberty-Eylau Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hugo has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Liberty-Eylau will come in with 12 straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Hugo came up short against Idabel and fell 47-35. The match marked the Buffaloes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

While Liberty-Eylau didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged Chisum out 53-51. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 644th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Liberty-Eylau's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Hugo, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
