Soccer Recap: Poteet Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, Poteet finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wilson Wildcats, falling 3-0. It was the first time this season that the Pirates let down their fans at home.

Poteet's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 13-2-3. As for Wilson, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-2 record this season.

Poteet has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Adams on the 7th. As for Wilson, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Seagoville on the 8th.
