University extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Gizel Barrios. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Grant Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday thanks in part to Barrios, who had 19 digs and five aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

University was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-20.

University's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Grant, their defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5.

University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Los Angeles CES on the 9th. As for Grant, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Monroe on the 13th.
