Softball Preview: Cheyenne Desert Shields vs. Moapa Valley Pirates

The Cheyenne Desert Shields will head out on the road to take on the Moapa Valley Pirates at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Cheyenne suffered a tough 20-4 defeat at the hands of Virgin Valley. Cheyenne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Moapa Valley can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They never let Western onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory.

Kylie Neil made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Neil has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Neil was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with a stolen base and two RBI.
