Basketball Recap: Stockdale Takes a Loss

After flying high against Golden Valley on Thursday, Stockdale came back down to earth. The Stockdale Mustangs opened the new year with a less-than-successful 62-55 defeat to the Roosevelt Rough Riders.

Cobi Posas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Roosevelt, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Posas' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Terrell Sutherland, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards.

Stockdale's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Roosevelt, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7.

Stockdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-38 defeat against Frontier on the 9th. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-57 victory against Independence on the 4th.
