Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ally Forbes and Isabelle Valgus Lead Seaforth to Victory

Seaforth won the last time they faced Northwood and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hawks put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-15.

Leading Seaforth to victory were Isabelle Valgus and Ally Forbes. Valgus had 11 digs and seven assists, while Forbes hit 75% for 16 kills and seven digs and four aces. Forbes is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good server: Seaforth was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 32 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Seaforth has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Northwood, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Northwood is taking a road trip to take on Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seaforth will be paying especially close attention to the Chargers' match: after the Chargers face off against Southern Lee, they'll take on Seaforth again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
