Baseball Recap: Lucas Comes Up Short

Lucas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the East Knox Bulldogs, falling 12-5. The Cubs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Brady Anschutz made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lucas' success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 3-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't).

Lucas now has a losing record of 7-8. As for East Knox, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.
