Softball Game Preview: Fairport Red Raiders vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors

Fairport is 1-9 against Webster Schroeder since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m.

Fairport is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They fell 9-4 to Penfield.

Alaina Nunez and Lizzie Roessel did some serious damage despite the final result: Nunez went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Roessel went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Greece Odyssey a 7-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Webster Schroeder pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fairport, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
