Basketball Game Preview: Stevens Falcons vs. Brennan Bears

Stevens hasn't had much luck against Brennan recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Falcons will host the Bears at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Stevens took on Harlan on Saturday. The Falcons lost 81-58 to the Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Hawks are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, Brennan waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They claimed a resounding 78-41 win over the Huskies. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Brennan's victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Stevens, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.

Stevens was dealt a bruising 78-47 defeat at the hands of Brennan when the teams last played back in January. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Falcons were down 41-20.
