Baseball Recap: Midland Legacy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Midland Legacy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pebble Hills Spartans by a score of 12-10 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since May 17, 2024.

Aiden Serrano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Cisco Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

Midland Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 23-15-1. As for Pebble Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Midland Legacy beat Pebble Hills by a score of 5-4 later that day.
