Basketball Recap: Lutheran Northwest Takes a Loss

Lutheran Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oakland Christian Lancers. The game marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lutheran Northwest lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Preston Parmentier, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Calan Denne, who scored four points and eight boards.

Lutheran Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Oakland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Lutheran Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-32 defeat against Everest Collegiate on the 16th. Oakland Christian has also already played their next contest (against Plymouth Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
