The South Putnam Eagles were not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell to Indian Creek 66-61. Even though they lost, South Putnam's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

South Putnam lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Khalil Jefferson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds. Wyatt Mullin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Even though they lost, South Putnam smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Creek only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Crouch, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Landon Martin, who scored 20 points.

South Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Indian Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

South Putnam will square off against Greencastle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greencastle is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season. As for Indian Creek, they will take on South Vermillion at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Vermillion knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Indian Creek likes a good challenge.
