Basketball Recap: Silver Creek Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

Silver Creek had won seven straight home games and Dane Caldwell did his part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Silver Creek Dragons blew past the Eastern Musketeers 81-39 thanks in part to Caldwell, who went 8 for 10 en route to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Sprigler, who posted ten points along with five assists and four steals. That's the most assists he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Silver Creek's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Eastern, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Creek will venture away from home to square off against New Albany at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Silver Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.9 points per game this season. As for Eastern, they are taking a road trip to take on Charlestown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
