Cross Keys wins going away against Howard

Recap: Cross Keys Indians vs. Howard Hawks

The Cross Keys Indians have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. Everything went their way against Howard on Tuesday as Cross Keys made off with a 41-21 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cross Keys also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Cross Keys found their leader in underclassman Lindsey Tran, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Michelle Barron, who scored six points along with five steals.

Despite the loss, Howard still got an impressive performance from Ava Beck, who scored ten points.

Cross Keys has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-10 record this season. As for Howard, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-4-1.

Cross Keys will head out on the road to face off against Cottage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Howard, they will be playing at home against Tapestry Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
