Soccer Recap: Rapides Comes Up Short

Rapides was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 36th).

Rapides' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-3 record this season.

Rapides will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Holy Savior Menard at 5:30 p.m. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Ouachita Christian on the 20th.
