Basketball Recap: Park Tudor Takes a Loss

Park Tudor and Monrovia squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Park Tudor had to settle for second. They lost to the Monrovia Bulldogs on the road by a 45-31 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 110th).

Monrovia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoie Walls, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Walls is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Camryn Wolfe, who posted 13 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Park Tudor has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Monrovia, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

Park Tudor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monrovia, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-10 victory against Riverside on the 7th.
