Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Takes a Loss

Shenandoah Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-38 loss at the hands of Marian Catholic. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-43 back in January.

Justin De La Cruz had a dynamite game for Marian Catholic, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave De La Cruz a new career-high. Rocco Griguoli was another key player, going 7 of 9 on his way to 16 points.

Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Marian Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah Valley has already played their next game (against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marian Catholic has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Lehigh Christian Academy.
