The Leesville Wampus Cats will face off against the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leesville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy likes a good challenge.

Leesville had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 32-point drubbing they dealt LaGrange on Friday. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leesville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trel Broom, who threw for 192 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes. Broom's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wampus Cats' success: the team is 4-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. Meanwhile, Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy fell victim to Belle Chasse and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 55-0 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Swamp Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Cardinals are ranked 26th).

The win got Leesville back to even at 5-5. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
