Basketball Game Preview: Nodaway-Holt Trojans vs. Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays

The Nodaway-Holt Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Nodaway-Holt will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax], who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Nodaway-Holt sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 victory over East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since November 26, 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northeast Nodaway, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They walked away with a 37-28 victory over DeKalb back in December of 2024.

Nodaway-Holt is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Northeast Nodaway, their win ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.

Nodaway-Holt beat Northeast Nodaway 44-36 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nodaway-Holt since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
