Basketball Recap: William Floyd Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walt Whitman, William Floyd was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They snuck past the Patchogue-Medford Raiders with a 44-38 victory. The Colonials have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

William Floyd's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taleah Coppola, who posted 13 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Milania Farrow, who earned 12 points and three steals.

William Floyd's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-4.

William Floyd is taking a road trip to take on Eastport-South Manor at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Patchogue-Medford, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Kings Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
