Soccer Game Preview: Arlington vs. University School of Jackson

The Arlington Tigers will head out to face off against the University School of Jackson Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for Arlington after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of St. Benedict at Auburndale by a score of 2-1. That makes it the first time this season Arlington have let down their home crowd.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University School of Jackson). They blew past Lexington 3-0 on Tuesday.

University School of Jackson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Arlington beat University School of Jackson 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arlington since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
