            Softball Recap: Loretto Mustangs vs. Summertown Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Loretto's last matchup with Summertown could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's  contest on Tuesday. The Mustangs came up short against  the Eagles, falling  11-0. The  game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.
Loretto's loss was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Summertown, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loretto will welcome Mt. Pleasant  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Summertown, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Lawrence County  at 7:00  p.m. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.1  runs per game this season.
