Volleyball Recap: Methuen Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Methuen was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lawrence on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers fell 3-1 to the St. John's Prep Eagles on Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 19-25, 25-13.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shawn LaDuke, who had nine digs and three blocks. LaDuke has been hot for a while, having also posted 18 or more assists the last 27 times he's played. Lucas Giard was another key player, getting 15 kills, five digs, and four blocks.

Methuen's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5. As for St. John's Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Methuen nor St. John's Prep have any future games scheduled.
