Recap: Perry Bluejays vs. South Tama County Trojans
The Perry Bluejays had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 55-54 win over South Tama County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Perry also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drake Levan, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Geren Kenney was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Perry is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for South Tama County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Perry will head out on the road to take on Nevada at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Perry focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. As for South Tama County, they will head out on the road to face off against West Delaware at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. South Tama County is facing West Delaware at the right time seeing as West Delaware is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
