Volleyball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Cimarron-Memorial waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Poly Parrots.

Cimarron-Memorial's offense was headlined by Daniel Vargas and Marcus Riley, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Byron Nguyen and his 24 assists. Peter June controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Poly lost, don't look at Jao Libunoa. Despite the final result, he had 13 assists and seven digs. Libunoa is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Cimarron-Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Cimarron-Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Copper Hills on the 4th. As for Poly, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cheyenne on the 4th.
