James Island won the last time they faced Cane Bay and things went their way on Monday too. The James Island Trojans couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 61-31 blowout they got against the Cane Bay Cobras. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

James Island's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jailah Greene led the charge by going 5 of 9 on her way to 15 points along with six boards and five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiana Graf, who posted 16 points and three steals.

James Island smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

James Island's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Cane Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Island and Lucy Beckham will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. James Island is facing Lucy Beckham at the right time seeing as Lucy Beckham is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Cane Bay, they will head out to challenge Goose Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
