Basketball Game Preview: DeForest Norskies vs. Waunakee Warriors

The DeForest Norskies will venture away from home to square off against the Waunakee Warriors at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

DeForest is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Fort Atkinson, posting a 79-52 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Norskies sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Waunakee faced Milton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Waunakee strolled past Milton with points to spare, taking the game 73-55. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

DeForest's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Waunakee, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

DeForest was dealt a bruising 81-40 loss at the hands of Waunakee in their previous meeting back in January. Can DeForest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
