Basketball Game Preview: Bear River Bruins vs. Mira Loma Matadors

The Bear River Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Mira Loma Matadors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bear River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Bear River came up short against Center and fell 63-53. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their defeat, Bear River saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dylan Donley, who posted 29 points, was perhaps the best of all. Donley's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Luke Jeffers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 18 boards.

Meanwhile, Mira Loma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Lincoln, falling 54-28.

Bear River's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Mira Loma, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Bear River came up short against Mira Loma in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 50-43. Can Bear River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
