Softball Preview: Kennedy Fighting Irish vs. Sunny Hills Lancers        
        
		
            
 The Kennedy Fighting Irish will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sunny Hills Lancers at 3:15  p.m.  on Monday. Kennedy will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak  alive.
 Last Thursday, while Kennedy put up plenty of  runs, the same  can't be said for Crean Lutheran. Kennedy blew past Crean Lutheran 12-0. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  win Kennedy has managed all season.
  Emory Cheng looked comfortable as she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
 At the plate, Kennedy let  Natalie Headley and  Elyssa Lape?a loose on the outfield. Headley  went 3-for-3 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run, while  Lape?a  went 3-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Katie Torrez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Sunny Hills earned  a  7-3 victory over Sonora  on Wednesday.
  Olivia Pedraza  C was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.  Elayna Marquez  C was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 The  win  got Kennedy back to even at 8-8. As for Sunny Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
 Everything went Kennedy's way against Sunny Hills in their previous matchup  back in March of 2020 as Kennedy made off with  an  18-0 win. Will Kennedy repeat their success,  or does  Sunny Hills have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
