Volleyball Recap: Selma Comes Up Short

If Selma was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Orange Cove last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears came up short against the Kerman Lions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-12.

Kerman found their leader in freshman Alicia Valle, who had seven digs and five aces.

Selma has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Kerman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

Coming up, Selma will square off against Sierra Pacific at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kerman, they will take on Washington Union at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
