Basketball Game Preview: Prospect Ridge Academy Miners vs. Arvada Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Prospect Ridge Academy Miners will face off against the Arvada Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Prospect Ridge Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 76-72 to Strasburg. The loss put an end to the Miners' undefeated start to the season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jack Brandt, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 21 points. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Vasquez, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Arvada strolled past Alameda with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 56-39. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Arvada had a senior duo take command as Nathaniel Zebroski had 21 points and Deymian Than scored 18 points. Jaiden Roybal was another key player, putting up eight points.

Arvada now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Prospect Ridge Academy against Arvada in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 84-48 victory. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
