It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lemont had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Oak Forest Bengals 11-2. Considering Lemont has won 19 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sydney Kibbon tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Lemont let Raegan Duncan and Avaree Taylor loose on the outfield. Duncan scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Taylor went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Duncan has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Jessica Pontrelli was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The victory (which was Lemont's eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-10. As for Oak Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 27-7.
