Baseball Game Preview: Northridge Raiders vs. Elkhart Lions

The Northridge Raiders will square off against the Elkhart Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Northridge is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Northridge is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 26th on Saturday. They came up short against Crown Point, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Elkhart has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westview. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Elkhart saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodey Weaver, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two doubles.

Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-12.

Northridge couldn't quite get it done against Elkhart in their previous matchup on May 3rd as they fell 8-4. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
