The Bellevue East Chieftains will take on the Standing Bear Grizzlies at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Bellevue East's favor as the  team sits on three straight wins at home while Standing Bear has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
On Tuesday, Bellevue East got the win against Bryan  by a conclusive  13-1. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won eight matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.

 Bayler Truax and  Connor Stephens did most of the damage at the plate:  Truax  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Stephens  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Those  two  RBI gave  Stephens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jace Taggart, who  earned two  runs and three  stolen bases.
 Bellevue East  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bryan only posted  an  OBP of  .381.
Meanwhile, Standing Bear made easy work of Hastings  on Tuesday and carried off  a  13-3 victory.
  Kameron Foster was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last six games he's  played.  Henry Warren was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Bellevue East's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 11-10. As for Standing Bear, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Standing Bear's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Bellevue East has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .485.
